The Black Horse Morris in Dancing Education Resource Directory

It is said the word Morris comes from Moorish and that the dancers originally came from the Spain of the Moors. Others, still attempting to keep its roots in the English countryside, say that it is derived from the moors. While Luigi Linguini insists it was named after his cat Boris. Sorry, Luigi insisted I put that in or he wouldnt give us web space. An East German schools English language textbook claims that Morris dancing was brought over to England by a Spanish queen in the 14th Century, so it must be true. In fact, the Black Horse Morris Study, Analysis and Research Centre has even been able to trace the house where the above mentioned Queen Lola III was born.
