Summer Stages Dance 2009 We are particularly looking forward to this festival season as it marks a culminating moment for our developing Summer Stages DanceBaryshnikov Arts Center Residency Project. Two of our performance presentations are fullevening works developed at the Residency. 07 recipient Chris ElamMisnomer Dance Theater will premiere Being Together and 08 recipients M.I.T. Visual ArtistChoreographer Nell Breyer and dancerschoreographers Alissa Cardone, Lorraine Chapman and Bronwen Macarthur will premiere a new mediamovement collaboration as part of our Three Women Solo series. And 09 SSDBAC candidates Gabri Christa and Germaul Barnes will present the first phase of their work, Burnt Sugar Dance Conduction Consortium, at both the Institute of Contemporary ArtBoston and in Concord. As always, these extraordinary artists will be both thrilling our theater audiences and inspiring our workshop participants in the studio Add to this a return visit by the wonderful Armitage Gone Dance in the Boston premiere of Ligetti Essays and Mashup, the tenth anniversary celebration of David Parker & The Bang Groups work at Summer Stages in a special evening presentation, and the presence and teaching of the incomparable dance artists Dan Wagoner and Teri Weksler, and we think you’ll agree that our 09 Workshop and Performance Series is one not to be missed.
